Basic Use

In the first text box, enter the hours of the first time (if no hours, enter 0); enter the minutes in the second and the seconds in the third.

Do the same for the second three text boxes. Select either addition (+) or subtraction (-), then click . The answer is displayed in the same format. To clear the calculator, click .

Saving Time Calculator Onto Your Computer

In Netscape or Internet Explorer: Right-click this link (Mac users click and hold the button down) and choose "Save target as" or something to that effect.

Other browsers: Consult your browser's documentation.

Errors, Etc.

"Please select either addition or subtraction" dialog. You didn't select one of the +/- radio controls. You must choose one so the calculator knows which operation it's supposed to perform.

NaN (Not A Number). This appears in one of the answer boxes when one of the other boxes is empty or contains any non-numeric character (such as a letter or punctuation mark). Time Calculator expects those boxes to have something in them. If you don't want a value for a box, enter 0.
